Since its establishment in 2016, the collective has engaged with the art scene in Saskatchewan and has organized numerous programs and exhibitions locally and internationally.
Kyuubi Xiao Han is a Saskatoon-based multidisciplinary artist and curator. Han's creative practice focuses on photography, lens-based performance, storytelling, visualizing emotion, and affect sense in a community-based context.
Qiming 'Sezava' Sun is a visual artist, witch, curator, and art educator based in Saskatoon on Treaty 6 territory. Working cross-disciplinarily through painting, drawing, sculpture, land art installation, performance art, and jewelry crafting, Sun's work draws inspiration from nature, animalistic paganism, and queer symbolism.
“Boreal Echo: Encased Spectres”
Boreal Echo: Encased Spectres is a spiritual successor of our previous artwork, Savage Growth, which focuses on the exploration of human relations with the natural environment and the personification of the sorrow and lamentation of the earth's destruction. The project aims to personify nature's unseen emotions and forces through performance arts, sound, and movements to raise awareness of how detrimental human activities can impact our planet if we are not cognizant of our actions.
