Micro Drag: Smallest Stage for the Biggest Personalities

Queer’d Al is a local drag king, aiming to bring you fun, weird and new styles of performance in all forms. Working with Chaos Encouraged Productions, he often “dares to be stupid” as inspired by his namesake Weird Al. He is full of camp, chaos, and creativity, and is excited to bring his level of “what? why?? how???” to Nuit Blanche this year, alongside performers Cozmik Carrie, Ford Ranjer, Shefoam, Jo Ada Mommie, Rocky C, and Stony Mac.

Originally from the east of England, Shefoam currently lives in Saskatoon. With 10 years of drag in her belt, Shefoam has performed in Norwich, London, Brighton, and in 4 Canadian provinces. This british beauty puts the Trans in Transatlantic!

Saskatoon's smallest truck Ford Ranger is a father to many and a son to none. With 10 years of drag under his belt his current goal is to share queer and trans experiences to as large an audience as possible and promote acceptance and mutual respect. So roll down the windows, crank the music, let's go for a drive.

Follow @ford.ranjer on instagram to see where this road trip is taking him next!

Cosmik Carrie is an intergalactic alien goddess who has come from outer space to share her drag with humanity. Cozmik Carrie is the daughter of Ford Ranger, who has helped support Carries ethereal & out of this world performances. She loves to serve looks, artistic vision, and to create a connection with the crowd.

Jo Ada Mommie is the unholy offspring of Stony Mac and Marsha Melo, giving you a combination of the glamour, theatre, and  camp vibes that the two serve so well. Jo Mommie identifies as a drag king, although they integrate both masc and femme elements into their character and performances to create something that entertains, or at the very least shocks audiences. Follow them @jo_ada_mommie on instagram to see what they've been up to, and check out future shows.

Rocky C is the newest character in the full gender performance spectrum of local burlesque artist and drag king Jasper Campbell. Jasper has been using their art to explore the interplay (and often disconnect) of their physical presentation and internal experience of gender for over a decade, embodying various stage personas as a means to better understand what it means to grow into their true identity. Rocky is stepping outside the niche audiences that fostered his development and bringing to life a vision of expansive growth.

Stony Mac is Saskatoon's premiere androgynous drag king. He has been entertaining Saskatoon's drag community for the past 5 years and has represented Saskatchewan and all of Central Canada on OutTV's drag competition "Call Me Mother" in 2022. Stony is passionate about sharing his love of drag as well as educating about his personal experiences of being a queer, transgender person through performance art.

Queer'd Al is a local drag king, aiming to bring you fun, weird, and new styles of perofrmance in all forms. Working with Chaos Encouraged Productions, he often "dares to be stupid" as inspired by his namesake, Weird Al. He is full of camp, chaos, and creativity and is excited to bring his level of "what? Why? How???" To Nuit Blanche this year in his directorial debut. As a genderfluid/non-binary performer, he loves bringing representation and queer brilliance to as wide of an audience as possible in hopes of starting more conversations about being let out of our own boxes.

Micro Drag is here to bring you the beauty and creativity of drag and gender performance, no matter how big, on a stage suitable for mice. But that won’t stop these funky performers! This stage is no barrier, just like your gender roles. Featuring a variety of genderqueer/trans performers from Saskatoon and area, this little stage is ready to give you the biggest show to grace the streets of Nuit Blanche.
