Bratwurst
Bratwurst is Alexa Hainsworth, Jasmin Fookes, and Levi Nicholat. They explore a lowbrow approach to art by mingling interdisciplinary practices with humour and reciprocity. All three completed MFAs at USask and now work in the arts in varied admininstrative roles. Bratwurst allows them to put their perspectives on the art world, as both artists and arts workers, to constructive use. Employing satire and parody, they explore the conventions, rituals, and hierarchies of the art world.
“Sausage Party”
Sausage Party is a participatory installation in front of Art Placement Gallery. A soft sculpture delicatessen will fill the window. On the street, folks will have an opportunity to assemble their own visually tasty treat to take home: a soft sculpture hot dog complete with a full assortment of topping options with a high probability of googly eyes. Think food truck meets Build-a-Bear, all infused with a Xanadu roller-disco vibe.
